The Poisoned Crown
(The third in the Sangreal trilogy)

Synopsis:
The third book of the Sangreal trilogy, the longest and easily the best. Nathan has to find the lost crown on a planet covered entirely by water, while contending with a malevolent sea-goddess, assorted marine monsters, an imminent war between merfolk and selkies, and a topless mermaid. On the home front his mother acquires a boyfriend he doesn’t like and Hazel broadens her knowledge of witchcraft by using pipe-cleaners. Once he has obtained the crown, Nathan must learn the truth about who his father is and become involved in the Great Spell – a desperate attempt to save a dying universe and the last remnants of its people. But the price of salvation may be higher than he is prepared to pay…

Author's Comments:
I’ve only just finished it so it’s hard to judge. My editor says the ending gave her goose-bumps.
