I spent many happy evenings in the White Bear folk club, but finally I left my job at the airport and the Strawbs moved on to become international rock stars.

I got a job in the West End, and began going to the Shakespeare's Head folk club in Carnaby Street.

It was thus a major pleasure when Dave Cousins turned up. And extraordinarily, I had a friend who used to take pictures of the guests. I found these forgotten in a filing box full of old poems over Christmas 2002.
