At Heffers in Cambridge

Juliet and Paul go to Cambridge for the launch of Colin Greenland's new novel, Finding Helen— 11th March 2003

The Book - it's a very deceptive cover illustration
The Shopfront - t seemed to me it was unfortunate for Colin that National No-Smoking day was the following day – but he says he rather likes the skeleton...
The Author –
Ladies and Gentlemen, Colin Greenland

Colin began by pointing out that he was finally letting this book go -- it has been around in one form or another for fifteen years. He then thanked his editor and his agent for making it work.

He then announced that it featured in that week's Heat magazine. Every week, apparently, they do a top ten book list, and this week Finding Helen was a new entry at number ten.

He then went on to quote from a review in the Times Literary Supplement which claimed to have found – "telling vignettes, fluidly juxtaposed". He then exhorted us to watch out for – "...a structural cross-bracing that is both strong and delicate..."

... and proceeded to read from an early part of the book. And very entertaining it was too.

Finally he signed copies of books, and here is seen pondering what exactly to write.

Oh, and if you're wondering, it is a very good book indeed.

(Colin thinks there are altogether too many pictures of him on this page)
