In the Queen Victoria

Juliet and Paul go for a drink with Cate and her friends in Rottingdean — 9th February 2003

Juliet and Paul were planning to go walking with Cate and her friends, but the weather was so wet we decided just to meet in a pub for some lunch.

The Queen Victoria in Rottingdean does excellent food.

It is also very well placed for when the sun comes out. All of a sudden, everyone is sunlit. Now, forgive my memory, but I've forgotten this lady's name.

Kate Tebby caught the sun quite well...

while Gary and Nicky resolutely kept their backs to it

But the sun does create the most wonderful effects. I do hope she forgives me for the expression on her face. DSC07139

And Nicky, now accepting a little bit of light on her face

Juliet and Cate and I aren't in these pics because I was hemmed in and there wasn't any light where we were. But we are on the next page....
